The last few weeks, and it looks like the entirety of April, have been/will be the most hectic weeks for me. I have a number of family holidays (Dad's B-day, Easter), my sister is getting married (I'm in the wedding), and our regularly scheduled Sunday parties have started up again (hooray, Game of Thrones)! So, I apologize if the posts are a little sparse right now. Come May, I should have some more time to devote to regular updates.
But since I'm here now, I can at least continue my current theme. Pony Shots! I feel like exclaiming "pony shots!" without context could get me in trouble. Kind of like in WoW, when I really wanted the Opera Event to be Big Bad Wolf, and so every time we started the event I would shout "BBW! BBW! BBW!" into vent. If you don't understand the BBW reference, I don't suggest you google it. Anyway, come on everypony, let's canter further down this path. I hear there may be big adventure and tons of fun.
The Pinkie Pie
1 part Butterscotch Schnapps
1 part Cinnamon Aftershock
1 part Milk
Now, I know what you're thinking "Milk in a shot?!?!?!?" And at first I almost agreed with you. But this science accident created quite possibly the most delicious concoction ever. And I say accident because it was a serious fluke. Initially, the third ingredient in this shot was to be Bailey's, which don't get me wrong, may have been delicious, but I will never know. Because the night Rachael and I sat down to do pony shots, I opened the Baileys and it was curdled. It had been a previously unopened bottle of Bailey's so obviously I was upset. But being as how I refuse to back down from a challenge, and Pinkie Pie is Rachael's favorite pony, I had to improvise. So, I grabbed the milk. And it is perfect that I did. See, when you combine all of these ingredients together you get a delightfully pink mixture, that is almost the exact same color as Pinkie's coat. Not only that, but you get a mild drink (honestly, you could totally drink it over ice in a rocks glass) that tastes just like baked goods.
Which is fantastic, because Pinkie loves baked goods. She lives and works at Cupcake Corner, and is regularly seen eating enormous servings of cakes and sweets. Plus, Pinkie, despite her overly cheery attitude is also a bit of a prankster. So, the far from expected genesis story for this shot is just another one of Pinkie's little pranks.
That's all I have for this edition.
